The Pakistan Stock Exchange 100 index and market capitalization closed at the lowest level of the year 2022.
100 index closed down 489 points at 39,342 today. Earlier in July this year, the 100 index was 39 thousand, but the lowest level of the index registered today is 39 thousand 276 below July.
Market sources attribute the decline in the index to political uncertainty and foreign exchange shortage.
16.6 million shares worth more than 4 billion rupees were traded in the market today. The market capitalization has decreased by 58 billion rupees. The market capitalization is 6 thousand 296 billion rupees, the lowest level of the year.
