Speaker of National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf called the members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to reaffirm the resignations.
In response to Shah Mehmood Qureshi's letter, Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf said in the letter that no member came to confirm the resignation within the schedule.
The Speaker of the National Assembly says that a letter was written on May 23 to confirm the resignations submitted on April 11 and a deadline of June 6 to 10 was given to confirm the resignations.
The Speaker National Assembly has also referred to the rules regarding confirmation of resignations in the letter inviting the PTI members to re-confirm the resignations.
Later, talking to the media outside the National Assembly, Raja Pervez Ashraf said that Tehreek-e-Insaf should come and play a role in the National Assembly.
Raja Pervez Ashraf said that letters were written to all the members to confirm the resignations of Tehreek-e-Insaf, the rules say that you have to write your resignation with your own hand and appear before the Speaker to confirm it, Shah. Mehmood Qureshi said that we want to come together, but coming together is not enough to satisfy the speaker, it will put pressure on each other.
The Speaker said that he will give everyone time to confirm the resignations and would also like to listen to every member.
