The actor who turned down a role worth 61 billion rupees

Would you believe that an actor is offered more than 61 billion Pakistani rupees for a role in a film but refuses to act?

Yes, Hollywood actor Matt Damon did this and later regretted it.

Some time ago Matt Damon said during an interview that he was offered by director James Cameron to play the lead role in the 2009 film Avatar.

He said that with this offer, James Cameron had said that 10 percent of the film's profit would be given to him.

Matt Damon turned down the offer because of another film, The Bourne Ultimatum, but during the interview, he expressed regret at losing 10 percent of Avatar's profits.

Avatar is the highest-grossing film in the world, earning more than $2.9 billion at the box office.

Had Matt Damon not turned down the offer, he would have earned $270 million, which is more than the film's budget.

According to an estimate, 23.7 million dollars were spent on the production of this film.

James Cameron responded to Matt Damon's statement during an interview recently.

He said that Matt Damon needs to get over the regret of turning down $270 million.

He added that Matt Damon was filming another Bourne movie at the time and that's why he didn't accept our offer.

After Matt Damon's refusal, the role went to actor Sam Worthington, but it is not clear how much he was paid.
