Pakistan captain Babar Azam won another honor.
Babar Azam became the most Pakistani to score more than 50 international runs in a year, the half-century in the Karachi Test is Babar's 23rd international fifty of the year. Earlier, Misbah-ul-Haq had scored 22 international fifties in 2013, while Babar's 23 fifty-plus included seven centuries and sixteen half-centuries.
Babar Azam scored 9 fifty-plus runs in Tests, 8 in ODIs, and 10 fifty-plus runs in T20 this year.
Sri Lankan Kumar Sangakkara scored 25 in 2014 while Ricky Ponting scored 24 fifty-plus in 2005. India's Sourav Ganguly and England's Joe Root have also scored 23 and 23 fifty-plus in a calendar year.
